Childbirth Education and Lactation Consulting
The Network provides free childbirth education and breastfeeding support to all mothers in our community. The classes are held at North Baldwin Infirmary by a childbirth educator and lactation consultant. The classes cover a range of topics including Healthy Pregnancy, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum and Newborn Care, Infant Safety and Breastfeeding.
The Baby Bistro breastfeeding support group is held at First United Methodist Church on the first Tuesday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Mothers can ask questions, get information and socialize with other breastfeeding mothers. The support group is free and open to the public.

Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES)
The North Baldwin Infirmary Diabetes Education and Prevention Center provides diabetes education classes and an outpatient diabetes support group to individuals with a diagnosis of diabetes in Atmore and Bay Minette, Alabama.

Smoking Cessation
Smoking is a key risk factor for many chronic diseases. To aid smokers in their journey to quit, the Network provides smoking cessation classes led by certified Freedom from Smoking facilitators. The American Lung Association’s Freedom from Smoking program is a proven way to quit smoking even if you’ve tried before and went back to smoking. Participants learn how to overcome tobacco addiction and start enjoying the benefits of better health. This free 8-session program uses a small group setting with fun, interactive learning to help participants achieve their goal to quit smoking. Better Breather’s Club
Date: Meets the third Wednesday of the month every other month

Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches people the skills to help someone who is developing a mental health illness or experiencing a mental health crisis. The evidence behind the program demonstrates that it builds mental health literacy, helping the public identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness. The Network has certified trainers who teach members of the community each month.
